Another feather in Ansie’s cap

Johanna Isabella (Ansie) Stegen grew up in Vryheid, where she matriculated at Vryheid High School.

Her tertiary education followed at the University of the Orange Free State, where she obtained her BCom degree in 1987, Teacher’s Diploma in 1988, Honours in Economics in 1989 and her Master’s in Economics in 1990.

On completion of her studies, Ansie began her career in intelligence and joined the then National Intelligence Service in 1991. She is currently employed at the State Security Agency.

After successful defence of her PhD thesis, she has been awarded the degree of Philosophiae Doctor in Development and Management.
