Locals dazzle at dance awards

Several dancers from Unity Dance Studio competed in the SADI (South African Dancing Institute) Dance Awards 2019, with Samantha Lewarne and Denise van Wyk selected for the 2020 Dubai global tour, as reward for their magnificent talent and dancing skills.

For dancers from the studio, these were their results from the awards event:

• Denise van Wyk: hip hop solo – gold + (special award).
• Samantha Lewarne: contemporary solo – bronze +; hip hop solo – silver; character solo – silver (special award); improvisation solo – silver.
• Bom Bom Acro group: silver.
• Chané Swanepoel: acro solo – silver +.
• Tiffany Janse van Rensburg: silver.
• Lea Wenning: acro solo – bronze.
• Shake Vyncke trio: bronze +.
• Silly Salmon Hip Hop trio: silver.
• Make Me Feel duet: bronze +.
