Weird, wacky walk to support special school
The aim of the walk was to raise funds for Thubelihle Special School

People braved the icy-cold weather to take part in a Wacky Fun Walk on Saturday morning (June 15).
The participants dressed up in weird and wonderful costumes as they hit the streets. There were little fairies carrying balloons, young ladies wearing bright garlands and even a skeleton with an eye patch straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean.
The aim of the walk was to raise funds for Thubelihle Special School. The 15km walk started and finished at The Square, with young and old alike stretching their legs to show support.

Mothers even brought their babies along, having dressed them up in funky outfits in line with the theme of the walk.
Paramedics and Public Safety made sure the walkers were safe along the route.
All in all, it was a morning of fun and exercise in the name of a worthy cause (with a wacky twist).
