Girl Guides and Scouts beat lockdown boredom

"They are enjoying lockdown - in a funny way"

The young members of the Zanibusa Girl Guide / Scout Unit in Kwa-Dllangezwa Empangeni are not wasting the days of the lockdown.

They have been hard at work, learning new things and reminiscing about past years.

Under the leadership of Guider Deborah Gamede, the Girl Guides and Scouts cooked, cleaned up, modelled in sashes they won in competitions, and read and dramatised a story.

Mrs Gamede relates that the members are also vigilant about washing their hands, wearing their masks and gloves, as well as social distancing.

“They are enjoying lockdown – in a funny way. Lots has been done and they will be continuing,” said Mrs Gamede.
