Ladysmith KZN: 9 stolen cattle recovered during stock theft operations

The animals were positively identified by their lawful owners

Stolen cattle were recovered during an operation embarked on by the Bergville Stock Theft Unit from January 22 to 28 in Bergville and surrounding areas.

The aim of the operation was to root out stock thieves in the Uthukela District and recover stolen livestock.

Police recovered nine stolen cattle in the Mablesini, Sandlwana and Mkhomazana areas, which fall under the Upper Tugela policing precinct.

The stolen cattle were positively identified by their lawful owners.

Operations are still ongoing in the Uthukela District to curb stock theft.
