The reason why a Mercedes Benz caught fire this afternoon (Sunday, February 7) along the R103 near Colenso is unknown.

The vehicle caught fire shortly after 4pm and was totally destroyed. No other vehicle was involved in the incident, and there are no reports of injuries at this stage.

Emergency services responded and the R103 remained open, with the scene being cleared by 5.30pm.
