NEWCASTLE KZN: Municipality dispatches water tankers to stricken suburbs

Ncandu Park and Amajuba Park are affected by water disruptions.

Repair work is currently underway, to fix a burst pipeline along the N11.

Residents of Amajuba Park and Ncandu Park have expressed outrage at being left without water recently. Newcastle Municipality has since allocated water tankers to be dispatched to these suburbs (including Meerkat Circle).

“Work that was supposed to have been done yesterday is still ongoing, due to numerous technical issues encountered by our teams on site,” said the municipality’s Head of Communications, Mlungisi Khumalo.

The municipality has also apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused, yet urged them to use water sparingly.
