NEWCASTLE KZN: Mayor meets with science whiz, Suhaan Singh
Suhaan Singh and his family met with the Mayor at the Mayor's Parlour at the weekend.
16-year-old Suhaan Singh, who has been selected to represent South Africa at the 2021 Virtual Regeneron ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) in America, met with high-ranking municipal officials at the weekend.
Members of the media were invited to attend the meeting between Newcastle Mayor, Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba and Suhaan, who was accompanied by his parents and siblings.
Suhaan earned a bronze medal at the 2020 Eskom Expo International Science Fair, using a Lego kit to create a Covid-19 screening and sanitising robot and also including a data capturing app to accompany his invention.
