GLENCOE KZN: Man in Court following teen’s murder

SAPS worked tirelessly to get their man

A man has appeared in Court in connection with the murder on Friday evening of a teenage girl. The girl, who cannot be named as she is under 18, had caught a lift from Dundee to Glencoe at about 7pm.

The driver dropped her off near the Glencoe cemetery, adjacent to Sithembile, and it was there where she was attacked and stabbed.

The driver realised that the girl had been hurt and turned around to assist. He put her in his car and took her to Glencoe SAPS where an ambulance was called.

However, she died before the ambulance reached her. Working tirelessly and following up with various leads, Captain M Maharaj head of the Glencoe Detective Branch, detained a 24-year-old Sithembile man.

He was later charged and has appeared in Court. Thulisiwe Mgabhi has been detained in custody while the case is further investigated. HAVE YOUR SAY: Like our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and Instagram or email us at dundee.courier@caxton.co.za.  Add us on WhatsApp 071 277 1394.
