DUNDEE KZN: SAPS make massive illegal cigarette bust

The cigarettes were brought into the country illegally

Dundee SAPS this morning confiscated illegal cigarettes valued at around R70 000.

An arrest was also made.

While the level 4 lockdown restrictions have not banned cigarettes and/or tobacco products, cigarettes that are brought into the country illegally – flouting tariff and import duties related to Government tax laws on cigarettes – are deemed illegal and/or fake.

More details will be released when this become available.
