ESTCOURT KZN: Suspects abandon vehicle while fleeing from police
Further investigations by the Ladysmith Vehicle Identification Section revealed that the identification numbers of both vehicles had been tampered with
Acting on information from Uthukela District Crime Intelligence operatives, police were able to recover two suspected stolen vehicles in Weenen last week.
Officers from the Ladysmith K9 Unit held a tactical operation in the Sun Valley area last Wednesday.
“During the operation, two suspects evaded arrest. They abandoned their vehicles while fleeing from police,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
Further investigations by the Ladysmith Vehicle Identification Section revealed that the identification numbers of both vehicles had been tampered with.
W/O Khan added that both vehicles have been impounded and will be subjected to further investigation.
