Shortly after 18:00 on Wednesday (February 23), police officers starting their night shift were called out when a grisly find was made.

A body that was in an advanced state of decomposition was found near the Shembe Church site near Princess Park.
The identity of the deceased is unknown at this stage.

“Estcourt detectives are investigating an inquest. Anyone with information is requested to contact Sergeant Ntuli on 082 346 7155,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
