One dead after roll-over on R34 Memel Road
Paramedics arrived at the accident scene to find one person dead and four others injured.
One person has been killed and four others were injured, after a bakkie overturned on the R34 Memel Road this morning (August 17).
According to officials at the scene, it is believed the bakkie, which was carrying a trailer full of sand, lost control and flipped over.
Paramedics and a security company quickly responded to the scene, where they found four of the vehicle’s occupants to be moderately injured. The fifth occupant however, was declared dead at the scene.
The injured occupants were treated at the accident scene before being transported to hospital for further care.
The exact cause of the roll-over accident is still unclear at this stage and will remain subject to further investigation.
