Award-winning South African gospel artist Richard Masemola, from Newcastle, has released his latest single, Mkholwe Njalo.

The South African Gospel Music Awards (SAGMA) winner has spent months in the studio working on the new release, alongside renowned music producer Owen Ngwenya, who has collaborated with celebrated artists including Avante, Deborah Fraser, Sfiso Ncwane and Thembinkosi Booi.

The single also features backing vocals by Newcastle-born singers Sbusiso Kunene, Sphamandla Mlambo and Thabiseng The Jane.

Already enjoying airplay on major radio stations across South Africa, Mkholwe Njalo has been well received by gospel music listeners.

“I thank God for this amazing talent He blessed me with so that I can be a blessing to millions and uplift and revive their souls,” said Masemola.

The single is available on YouTube, where listeners can stream or download it. It will also be released on other major digital music platforms soon.

Masemola can be found on Facebook and TikTok under Richard Masemola and on Instagram as @Richard_Masemola.

Music video planned

Fans can look forward to the official music video, which Masemola says will be filmed soon.

“Soon I will be shooting the music video and I can’t wait to see it on our screens,” said Masemola.
