Majola appears in front of packed gallery

Majola is alleged to have opened fire during a dispute over a vehicle payment at his Cornhill Street workshop in June last year, resulting in the deaths of  Ntombifuthi Mabaso and a relative, Mncedisi Buthelezi, as well as the attempted murder of Ntombifuthu’s daughter, Slindile.

It is alleged that the three had gone to see Majola at the workshop in a bid to reclaim money that Ntombifuthi had allegedly given him to pay for a car that was apparently never delivered.

It was said that a heated argument ensued between the four, during which Majola produced a .38 revolver and fired about five shots.
Ntombifuthi was shot and it is alleged that Majola then struck her in the face using an engine block. She died at the scene, as did Mncedisi. Slindile was hit in the shoulder and managed to run into an office to escape.

His first appearance last year sparked a peaceful protest outside the court when people, many clad in MK Party colours gathered holding banners calling for justice for he victims and their families

Majola has abandoned his bail application and will remain in custody. His trial is set to resume in the Dundee Regional Court on July 28.
