Generous donation boosts Dundee farm security drive

Virbac donates funds to strengthen rural safety and farm security efforts in the Dundee farming community.

The Dundee and District Farmers’ annual charity drive has received a welcome boost following a donation from animal health company Virbac.

The initiative raises funds each year to support rural safety and crime prevention efforts across farming communities in the district.

Funds generated through the drive assist with farm security operations, including patrols, communication systems and rapid response initiatives aimed at protecting farmers, workers and rural properties.

Support strengthens rural safety efforts

Fund chairman Johan du Plessis said continued support from businesses and the community remains vital.

“Farm security remains a priority, and support from partners like Virbac helps us continue protecting our rural communities,” he said.

Virbac regional manager Andrew Adams said the company was proud to contribute towards an initiative that supports the agricultural sector and the safety of farming communities.

Dundee Farm Security manager Fritz Botes said the donation would help strengthen safety measures in rural areas.

“These contributions go a long way in helping us maintain and improve security operations for farmers and workers in the district,” he said.

The Dundee and District Farmers’ security initiative continues to rely on both corporate and community support to sustain and expand its work in combating rural crime.
