uThukela warns of anticipated water outages

They are waiting for the service provider to come and fix the pump

According to uThukela District Municipality, Ntabamhlophe will experience water challenges due to a broken pump.

In a media statement issued by uThukela, they explained that the automatic valves that were ‘giving challenges’ to pump more water to Wembezi have been converted to operate manually. Now the challenge is that they could not pump water from Mhubheni to the square reservoir in Bosch because of a broken pump.

uThukela say they are still waiting for the service provider to come and fix the pump. In the meantime, electricians will be assessing the extent of the damage to the pump. Because of this, it is anticipated that the Ntabamhlophe cluster will experience water shortages.

The district municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused.
