Steadville community protests and asks: ‘Where’s Siyabonga?’

He was last seen being taken away from his home by a police official.

The community of Steadville and surrounding areas staged a protest today (June 20) to demand answers regarding Siyabonga Zikalala, who went missing about two months ago.

Zikalala went missing after a police official arrested him at his home in Steadville, Rooi area.

Police claim he escaped custody immediately upon arriving at Ladysmith police station, before he could be put in the cells.

It is further claimed that police officers gave chase as Zikalala ran towards Forbes Street, where he ‘disappeared’ and evaded capture.
