Advertiser thanks businesses for backing women’s sanitary drive

Local businesses helped supply sanitary essentials to the women and children at the Newcastle Crisis Centre following a successful National Women's Shutdown feature which was sold during the month of November. Read more here:

The Newcastle Advertiser has thanked the local business community for its generous support of the G20 Women’s Shutdown sanitary collection initiative, held in November.

Thanks to the businesses that advertised in the National Women’s Shutdown feature, the Advertiser was able to donate a range of essential items to the Newcastle Crisis Centre last week.

These items included:

  • Sanitary pads,
  • Roll-on deodorant,
  • Soap,
  • Toothpaste,
  • tooth brushes,
  • Tissues,
  • Wet wipes,
  • Face cloths and
  • Body creams.

The contributions have made a meaningful difference to the lives of the women and children who seek refuge at the centre, with the donations being warmly received.
