Congratulations to Dundee High School learners Leon Williams (Grade 8) and Phelan Jech, a Rotary exchange student from Germany, who successfully completed the Cape Town Cycle Tour last Sunday.
The event is the largest timed cycle race in the world, attracting more than 30,000 riders each year. Participants tackle a demanding 109km route around the Cape Peninsula.
Cyclists pass some of South Africa’s most spectacular scenery, travelling from the city streets of Cape Town to the famous climbs of Chapman’s Peak and Suikerbossie.

Completing the event is widely regarded as a significant achievement, particularly for young riders.
A special word of thanks goes to Graham Peddie and Gordon Peddie for their outstanding support.
Their encouragement and guidance helped the two learners prepare for the demanding race and complete the challenging route.
