Hamilton shines at inaugural Eisteddfod

The pupils earned diplomas and gold certificates across a wide range of categories.

Hamilton pupils delivered outstanding performances at the school’s very first Eisteddfod, achieving remarkable results and setting a high standard for future events.

In total, the talented performers earned 16 diplomas (scoring 90-100%) and 35 gold certificates.

The pupils participated across a wide range of categories, including Afrikaans and English poetry, public speaking, choir, marimba, unprepared reading, contemporary singing, guitar, bass, and classical piano.

The completed art projects have also been sent to Johannesburg to be evaluated by an international judge, further highlighting the prestige of the occasion.

Eisteddfod judges Johan Engelbrecht and Dr Francois van den Berg praised the exceptional quality of the pupils’ work, expressing their admiration for the creativity and skill on display.
