Punishers defeat Conquers in thrilling netball final

Punishers netball team dominated the finals, taking home trophies, medals, and sports gear.

Princess Mkabayi Mall recently held a netball tournament at the Bhekuzulu netball court for young boys and girls. According to the mall, one of their missions is working with communities, as well as ‘giving back’ to them. They worked with Ma’am Veronica, who grooms and mentors young girls in the sport of netball. Ma’am Veronica organised the teams who played on the day.
Eight girls’ teams took part, as well as two boys’ teams called Punishers and Mighty Ninjas, who play netball for entertainment purposes. The boys drew 13-13.
The girls battled it out for different prizes, with Punishers (girls) going head-to head with Conquers in the final. The final was tough, with plenty of fierce competition, as the girls came prepared. Punishers were stronger on the day, taking the lead and fighting to retain their advantage until the very end. Punishers ended up beating Conquers 26-14 to receive a cash prize voucher, gold medals, a trophy, sport kits and many other prizes.
All the players who participated received medals, sport kits, T-shirts and hats. The medals, trophies and sport kits were sponsored by Jam Clothing.
More tournaments and projects organised by Princess Mkabayi Mall are in the pipeline, so watch this space for more.
