Moth news:

The Siegetown Ladies’ Association catered once again on Saturday, this time for the LHS Class of 1983.

Club news:

The club will be hosting their Charity Bowls & Golf Day at the Country Club on November 30. The club will be hosting their annual Kiddies Christmas Party on December 7 at 2pm. There is a list on the notice board – please, we need to know how many to cater for by no later than December 5.

The weekly draw was a roll-over. We urge all our members to support the club on Friday nights. Remember that you have to be here to win! What a game on Saturday! Well done to the Springboks for their fantastic win – sorry, France, you were just outplayed! A big thank you to Mike Williams for supplying meat to braai before the game and to the ladies who brought salads – once again, you outdid yourselves. Please remember that you can catch all your favourite sport on the big screen at the club.

Dates to remember:

November 28 – Pensioners’ lunch;

November 30 – Club Bowls & Golf Day at the Country Club;

December 7 at 2pm – Kiddies Christmas Party.

Birthdays:

Moths: November 27 – FJ van Lonsberg; November 30 – MS Wittstock.

Club: November 28 – D Seegers.

We end this week with the following: “We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival” – Sir Winston Churchill
