Lambert Park functions – unbearable noise levels

This seems to be a recurring issue every year and as I said it's not the functions held at Lambert Park that are an issue, it's the music

I would like to raise a concern regarding the disturbingly loud music at year-end functions held at Lambert Park.
I am a resident who stays close to the police flats and about three weeks ago there was a function at Lambert Park, which started at 10am and was effectively stopped by a huge storm at about 10pm that night.

Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with the parties and functions held there; it’s the loud music that is just far too loud. I had to turn my television louder to actually hear what was going on.

I phoned the police to find out if they could perhaps assist with the disturbance but I was turned down. I spoke to another resident who stays even closer to Lambert Park who said her windows were vibrating from the bass of the music and that she turned her television off because it was no use trying to compete against the noise.

This seems to be a recurring issue every year and as I said it’s not the functions held at Lambert Park that are an issue, it’s the music. Is there any way that this can be controlled so as not to disturb us residents to this extreme around the area?
