Sir
The year 2014 is coming to an end so quickly.
Before we get caught up in the festive spirit, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the many individuals and businesses in Dundee, Glencoe and in our neighbouring towns for their generosity of cash, kind and just as volunteers who always came forward to assist whenever they were called upon to do so. This they have done over and above their other commitments.
The generosity of the human spirit still amazes me.
Without their assistance many events such as Talana Live!, opening of new exhibits at Talana Museum, administration of Creations, the Annual 5km Gandhi Walk and the management and administration of ABH-V J Kara Home for the Aged-Glencoe would not be possible.
To our benefactors who have lost their loved ones, we convey our deepest and sincere condolences.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you as the Editor, for your continued support in providing coverage of all our activities and events in the local media. May I also wish all our communities a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
To those who will be travelling, we encourage them to observe the rules of the road and obey our traffic officials in their own interest and those of other road users.
To those who will be spending and enjoying quality time with their families at home, be cautious and vigilant at all times. Let us thank the Lord for his blessings.
