Winter is coming with Snow?

Long hair and beard proves that Jon Snow is set to return to 'Game of Thrones'

If you have lived under a rock for the last year, you could be forgiven for not knowing the tag line ‘Winter is coming’ and of course about the ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 finale that saw Jon Snow (actor Kit Harington) lying dead in a pool of blood, brutally stabbed to death by Brothers of the Night’s Watch. Now some would argue that the hero, who became Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, is dead.

But if you follow the books and understand the limitations of his position, the author of the ‘Game of Thrones’ books, George RR Martin, needed to pull off a large amount of literary magic to extract his main hero from an order that would have kept him bound to the wall and useless to be a main driver to the ‘Stark’ storyline.

Killing him was a rather obvious solution. The Red Lady learned the art of “raising the dead” in a rather out-of-character sojourn to a group of bandits with a Red Priest in a season 4 episode, where he could miraculously raise the dead. It was such an out-of character meeting that it appears to have been almost purposely done for Jon Snow’s resurrection.

So, although we do not know how or when it will happen, we are 100% certain he will return from the dead.

The how we know is rather easy; it’s all about the hair. Kit Harington’s hair of course. He once let slip that it was in his contract that he could not cut it. If he was no longer going to have a role in ‘Game of Thrones’, surely cutting his hair would be the first thing to do. He was spotted at Wimbledon watching tennis with his ‘Game of Thrones’ locks. Shooting for season 6 of the HBO hit TV series starts next month…
