You don’t need a doctor when you have an Indian mother

She has a remedy for everything and she doesn't need Google.

There’s an age old saying that goes, ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away.’ There’s an even more recent saying that goes, ‘An Indian mother keeps the doctor, dentist and any other healthcare professional away.’
The reason being is that you don’t need any medical assistance if you have an Indian mother around.
An Indian mother always has a remedy for any ailment you may have. She doesn’t need a book on hand or Google to check for a cure to your illnesses, they have them at the top of the heads.
Have a sore throat, they’ll tell you to gargle with salt water. Got a boil? Just apply cabbage leaves to the affected area.
If you have a blocked nose they will recommend you put Vicks in boiling water and inhale the steam.
An Indian mother always has a collection of different herbs and plants which not only serve as added flavor to foods, but also as a cure to any ailment.
As the years have gone by, Indian mothers have become more advanced and have a wider range of information at their disposal to treat any problems.
Just tell them you’re sick and they will immediately Google the cause and the cure for the problem. And thanks to the wealth of information on the net, an Indian mother has a variety of cures to choose from. She will then scour her garden to find the correct plant or herb that Google has suggested and then concoct some miracle cure for you. Some of these concoctions may not look very appealing but they look a lot better than they taste. Sometimes they taste a lot better than they look. It doesn’t matter whether it tastes or looks good to an Indian mum, as long as it does the job, that’s all that matters.
While Google has its advantages for treatments, it also has its disadvantages. With all the information available there’s always chance of a wrong diagnosis. This is especially the case if the Indian mum in question is a hypochondriac. Have a cough and you could be diagnosed with having Ebola. So the next time you have a tooth ache, simply chew on a clove (according to an Indian mum), don’t consult Google. You may not like what you find.
