Editor – I want to place on record that I have been quite critical about the roadworks in our town. However, some praise should be given where it is due.
Thank you to the responsible parties for the excellent recycling and resurfacing of Jantha Street and Protea Drive.
There was a lot of criticism about the extension of Protea Drive to Pieters. This positive thinking, though, has made a huge and very profound impact and lasting contribution to the lives of the Acaciavale community, who previously had to leave home early and return late via Newcastle Road after work.
I was particularly impressed by the efficiency of the machinery that recycled and resurfaced the tar road. I trust that the bridge in Protea Drive will receive the repairs it needs with the same prompt service.
Well done to the town fathers for finding a reliable contractor. Let’s hope the good work continues throughout Acaciavale.
