HEARING the words “YOU HAVE CANCER” is the most devastating thing that can happen to you. Suddenly your world is in “Collapse” and sickness and death become a reality. This causes you to look deeper into your own life and every thing around you.
Some people look at this as a Death Sentence, a place without Hope, but for me I choose LIFE and not death because I have faith in my Heavenly Father and I choose to live in Hope and His Promises.
On the brighter side of cancer is the support and love of family and friends, which comes like a fountain from above, with streams of love that washes over you, and oh what a blessing it is to feel such love.
I must admit I have a group of crazy friends who always encourage me with challenges to live positively.
They have shown me support in such a way that they had to take it a little bit further by shaving and cutting their beautiful long hair in support of me.
There are no words that can explain the different emotions and overwhelming feeling of love, then and now.
You are all very special to me! And a big thank you to Karin and Astrid at Be Spoiled Hair for shaving the ladies’ hair, and Klets CafĂ© in Vryheid for hosting us.
My words of encouragement are: If you know someone who has cancer “Just be you, be who you are and let your love flow”.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Have the courage to be checked and so protect your LIFE!
