The Springboks are the world’s best and champions but our selection was not right. Playing the All Blacks and losing by two points was a big mistake and also a racial one. The first big mistake is that Victor Matfield should have been selected for the first half.
We lost lineouts due to that.
The second mistake was that Rudy Paige should have been selected for the first half. The two wings did not get any balls. Brian Habana and JP Pietersen are only given bad balls and not clinical balls and Paige can do just that but was not given the chance.
Is it because of colour? Brian Habana could have made a world record if given a chance but no, the ball stays amongst the forwards and to take him out while trying to achieve the world record, this was a clear sign that a person of colour like him should not hold that achievement.
As a country, we need to grow and put our dirty practices aside. The World Cup should be here with us but now we have to accept our stupid way of doing things. Bafana Bafana was the best team in the African continent until politics entered. Today Bafana cannot make this country proud because they took away the players of colour to allow a political position to take over.
The percentage of a race group in the team sure death. A player must be selected by his or her experience and how best he/she delivers. We, as a country, still refer to people by the colour of their skin. We claim to be learned but do the most queer things that divide us.
We speak of social cohesion but support exclusion and marginalism. I want to say stop growing this snake because this snake can only bite the one who created it.
We need to be colour blind, just like God. God does not practice democracy and He is not colour conscious. He is not a respecter of persons and in heaven there is no democracy, in fact you will find democracy in hell. We need to grow and stop excluding the most important people who are connected to the first nation of this country. When we fail God, He takes over and forces change.
