Editor – Re: Leaking water meter at 33 Milkwood Drive.
The problem was reported to uThukela on Tuesday and numerous calls were made after that. It was also reported to Councillor Abbas Warasally.
It was said that someone will come and investigate, and fix the water meter, but no one did.
We are facing a drought situation and by the looks of it, we are losing thousands of litres a day due to a leaking water meter and a lack of service delivery by uThukela.
Ignorance seems to be the order of the day when it comes to attending to fresh water going to waste. It’s not only the loss of water, but the cost to ratepayers when clean water goes to waste. Clean water is not cheap.
