What happened to our youth?

However, I need to ask why the child felt he needed to resort to violence? What made him feel that the only solution to an argument was violence? Is that what he learned from his parents, teachers or are video games and television going to be blamed?

Madam – I was absolutely disgusted after reading how a 12-year-old boy stabbed two of his peers to death.

Honestly, what is happening to the youth of today? How can a child brutally stab two others?

Ten to one, excuses will be made that the child was bullied or is struggling with some sort of disorder. But the fact of the matter remains, he left the school grounds, went home, got a knife and then went all the way back to school and stabbed the two teens.

What grinds me, the child was arrested and then realised into his parents’ custody. Why? He committed murder and should face the full penalty of the law.

However, I need to ask why the child felt he needed to resort to violence? What made him feel that the only solution to an argument was violence? Is that what he learned from his parents, teachers or are video games and television going to be blamed?

We as a society need to be held accountable for what our children are doing. They are becoming less respectful and more aggressive by the day. Will we do something about the state of our youth or will we allow them to be nothing more than vicious killers? Murder should not be the norm or a trend to resolve arguments.

Truly saddened,
