Animal abuse, the new norm

Is society so numb that the life of an animal means nothing?

Madam – Be it bludgeoning dogs to death or attempting to axe them to death, animal abuse is reaching new heights.

Is society so numb that the life of an animal means nothing?

It takes a truly sadistic person to hurt a creature that cannot defend itself, after all take a look at serial killers such as Ted Bundy and Jeffery Dahmer.

If you are willing to violently kill a dog or cat, whether through poison or by the use of a rock, what is stopping you from killing a mother, a child or someone’s grandmother?

Our government needs to create harsher punishments for people who abuse animals. Not just to protect our society from potential violent criminals, but to ensure animals are kept safe from the evil clutches of these so-called human beings.

Every living being deserves to be treated with love and respect. A dog and cat devote themselves to humans, showing undying love, why can we not do the same for them?

Personally, I feel we can learn a lot from animals. They only lash out when their loved ones are in danger or are hungry, but very seldom do they hurt others out of a sick sense of joy.

Lets start showing compassion to animals and not forget that they too have souls.

Animal lover.
