Happy that roads were kept safe

I felt a lot safer knowing that people were actually being caught and learning their lessons

Editor – I must say I am quite happy with how few accidents there were in our area over the festive season.

Most of the accidents seem not to be related to drinking and driving.

The fact that traffic police were riding around town on days like Christmas and New Year show that they really worked hard and we could see the results of their labours.

I felt a lot safer knowing that people were actually being caught and learning their lessons. It is very sad when lives are lost in motor vehicle accidents due to drunk driving. People should get into the habit of making one person the designated driver and they must consume no alcohol.
