I would like to congratulate St Gregory Primary School on their successful annual Prize Giving, held on December 4.

I was privileged to attend and to have a quick tour of the school before proceedings began.

What a joy it was to see the progress that has been made!  The pupils were smartly dressed and respectful.

Their excited anticipation was obvious and rubbed off on us all.

An ethos of excellence in learning and general attitude was evident as the occasion continued.

It was indeed gratifying to feel the enthusiasm and sense of caring among both staff and learners.

And numbers for 2016 look most encouraging! And how smart the prospective prefects looked in their new blazers!

Well done to the Principal, Mr Jansen, to his committed staff, and to all the obviously happy learners!
