‘Pay it forward’ with Facebook group

Madam – We refer to a letter published in your newspaper dated January 22, 2016 under the heading “Consideration fosters a caring community”.

We refer the writer and your readers that a Facebook group has been in operation for several months under the name “Pay It Forward – Newcastle (KZN) in this regard.

The purpose of the group is:

– to make awareness of exactly what the writer under the name of “in search of a kind heart”, has penned down. To make the public aware of all the small and simple acts of kindess that one can do to one another, uplifting and inspiring another person/s by showing love, care, humbleness and respect.

– The group also provides a platform where one can donate good quality goods to bless someone else who is in need of it, thereby uplifting a less fortunate person. It also provides a platform where people in need/less fortunate can ask for help of items, services, et cetera. The idea is to Pay It Forward on the basis of the movie of the same name…..

We invite the Newcastle community to look us up and join our group – taking hands and be a strong force to assist charities or welfare cases that need help through a trusted group with dedicated administrators.

Other communities are also following·our lead by creating similar groups, eg lfafa Beach recently started their Pay It Forward group with our help and assistance. We trust and encourage other communities to do the same and building a whole network of Pay It Forward initiatives in South Africa.

We look forward to have “in search of a kind heart” join our group and network and be of assistance to educate the public and spread small/simple acts of kindness.
