I was horrified and saddened to read the front page story in last week’s paper (Teen mutilated and murdered – other seeks justice).

I wondered to myself what type of people it takes to do such a terrible thing to a young lady.

What would make someone commit such a senseless and brutal crime? What shocks me more is that this is right on our doorstep.

I sympathise with the mother, this must be the most trying time of her life, I would like to say to her that she must not despair or give up hope, God is with her.

The people who are responsible for this heinous crime must be given the harshest sentences possible.

Parents, take care of your children, know their whereabouts and do your best to protect them at all time.
