Do you know your voting registration status?

Madam – This weekend will see the first Registration Weekend for the coming 2016 elections. On Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 March 2016, all voting stations will be open for registration from 8am to 5pm.

Some wards in Newcastle have drastically changed and therefore it is very important that each and every voter make sure of his registration status. For example, the entire Hutten Heights will now form part of Ward 4 and no longer Ward 2, however some of the voting stations stay the same.

If you are in any way uncertain about your registration status, please feel free to contact me on 073 941 1846.

Or you can SMS your ID number and street address to me and I will inform you of your registration details and I will be able to tell you if you have to re-register.

Please remember that only you can encourage freedom, fairness and opportunity to the people of South Africa by voting in the 2016 elections.
