5 tips for getting kids out of bed in the morning for school

We try many tactics and eventually succeed, but at the end of it all, both sides are frustrated

Many parents, including myself, battle to get the kiddies up for school in the mornings. We try many tactics and eventually succeed, but at the end of it all, both sides are frustrated.

So here are 5 tips for getting children out of bed in the mornings.

1- Are they getting enough sleep? Do everything you can to get them to sleep earlier and to sleep sounder. Set a time, example 8pm, when they must be in bed, television off and no noise. Kids need much more sleep than adults (10 hours at least).

2- Wake them by singing to them. Good voice or bad, this will wake them up. Singing a kid awake is just as sweet as singing them to sleep.

3- Bake something that smells delicious to get them out of bed. Waffles and bacon never fail.

4- Give them an alarm clock and teach them how to use it. This will definitely get them out of their warm beds.

5- Bring a pet in to wake them up. Let their doggy or kitty give them a wet kiss to raise them from their slumber.
