I challenge all Estcourtonians to make a positive change this Mandela Day. As we all take 67 minutes out of our day to honour the life of our beloved Madiba, I hope that these deeds will be sustainable for the recipients.
There are hundreds of people in our town who are in need and these needs are not limited to a meal for a day or cash. There are people who are desperate for warm clothes, blankets, maybe an old heater.
How about those people who need help getting to the clinic or hospital once a month? Maybe an elderly couple needs help repairing odds and ends at their home or help in their garden.
We can all make a sustainable difference in the lives of others; make your 67 Minutes count.
