Salute to all educators

We are grateful to have educators who ensure that our children's safety is a priority

I’m sure that many parents felt a little uneasy when their children returned to school last week.

As a parent of a Grade 7 learner, I was filled with anxiety.

What if my child gets infected with the coronavirus, and also what about all the schoolwork she is missing out on?
I know some parents have opted not to send their children to school yet, and this made the decision even more difficult.

However, I would like to send a big thank you to the dedicated educators and support staff who made last Monday go smoothly.

Like parents of the learners, educators too are concerned about their health, but they had to put on a brave face and welcome the children back to school. I salute all the educators! This is a difficult time for our country and you have been superstars! We are grateful to have educators who ensure that our children’s safety is a priority.
