Dundee Rangers in urgent need of funder

"If we are unable to find anyone, we will have to sell the team which will be the final option."

The SAFA Second Division season has just ended and the local team, Dundee XI Experience, which trades as Dundee Rangers, finished ninth on the log.
Spokesman. Dr Patrick Mawila said, “at the end of the 2013/2014 season, we had communicated that the team needed funders and/or buyers as the persons who for years had taken care of costs, was no longer able to continue to do so.”
“We subsequently reported that a local businessman came to the rescue and managed the team.
“He managed and invested heavily in the team for the past two seasons.
“We are resolute in saluting this businessman for staying true and ploughing back to the local community through social projects. Unfortunately, there are few with such a heart,” Dr Mawila told the Courier.
The businessman was unable to continue his support because ‘of other pressing projects’.
“We are now again faced with the same situation we had back in 2013. In the same spirit we again appeal to business persons to come forth and use this social project to plough back into the community.”
He mentioned that the project has produced football players who have gone on from Rangers to play in higher divisions.
He said they invite all ‘sports loving persons with the financial capabilities to contact us for the purpose of managing the team’. Dr Mawila said a person is also needed to take on the management of the team.
“If we are unable to find anyone, we will have to sell the team which will be the final option.
“Anybody interested in managing, buying or requiring more information is requested to contact us on 072 552 1572 or 082 921 9380 or 078 645 7267,” he appealed.
