Even the winter winds and cold evenings have not deterred our local athletes from participating in Time Trials.
Ladies 4km Walk: Lindokuhle Khuzwayo – 24m:18s finished ahead of Nthombi Sithole – 30m:38s and Mbali Mawila and Gcinile Nyathi – 42m:07s.
Ladies 3km Run: Thabisile Phungula was the only athlete who finished in a time of 15m:44s.
Ladies 4km Run: Phindile Ndlela – 21m:23s finished ahead of Thobeka Mbatha – 23m:19s and Kholiwe Buthelezi 28m:38s. Yolande Buthelezi came in fourth in a time of 30m:15s while Samu Mlambo finished fifth in a time of 32m:52s.
Men 2km Walk: Reggie Nkosi was the only athlete and completed in a time of 21m:22s.
Men 4km Run: Thokozani Phungula – 13m:46s edged out Bongani Sabelo – 14m:07s with Joel Khumalo – 15m:01s finishing third. Eric Nelson 15m:36s finished fourth followed by Petrus Mavuso – 17m:00s, Mlungisi Zulu – 18m:31s and Zwelihle Duma – 21m57s. Ayanda Buthelezi rounded off the pack in a time of 30m:15s.
