Great bowls at Slabbert/Arndt sponsored day

The club is glad that the Slabbert/Arndt Shield is staying in Dundee this year.

The past weekend saw the annual Slabbert/Arndt Sponsored day being held at the club and what a turnout. 24 teams participated and some excellent bowls was played by all. A huge thank you to the Arndt and Slabbert families for their sponsorship and all in aid of cancer awareness.
It was the team of Des Johnson and Louis “Baksteen” de Jager who, after a very tense final game, emerged victors on the day. Trevor Douthwaite and Ernie from Newcastle collected second prize and co-sponsors Carl and Hannelie Arndt took the last place on the podium.
