Eventide enjoy narrow bowling victory over Sharks

The past weekend saw the first of hopefully many one-day business league fun-days being hosted by the club. 48 players made up 12 teams and great fun was had by all. Plenty of laughter and chitter-chatter could be heard on the greens and by the sounds of things, there seemed to be plenty potential skips out there.
A huge thank you to Tri-Star and OK Value and the ladies who assisted with salads and pap (which was smoking hot), the greens staff, bar staff and all who made it one huge successful day.

Team ‘Eventide’ made up of Mr T, Anna Muller, Louisa Vreken and the ever-keen Alida Denny ended up in top position beating the ‘Sharks’ (and no, this was not Super Rugby), by only shot difference.
The darts and pool challenge saw the leader board change which will make for a very interesting final on Thursday evening. Double J and the Weasels shared top spot on 14 points followed by Double J and The Kegs on 12 points. The Foxes have fallen out of contention. Look forward to seeing you all this Thursday. Play starts at 6pm. Please remember that there will be a bring-and-braai afterwards.
The Dundee bowls club teams’ who travelled to Pongola the weekend, were not as successful as previous years but sources say that great fun was had by all. Well done and thank you for supporting the other clubs in our district.
