Rotarians make history at Dundee Bowling Club

The past week has seen the Dundee Rotarians make history at Dundee Bowling Club. What started out as a massive challenge and a few negatives, the Rotarians have managed to get 66 teams together and participate in what is hoped will be an annual business league fundraiser. The theme is one of team building and what fun has been had with the majority, total novices. Games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to around 8:30pm. See you all there.
KZNCB Champion of Champions
This weekend sees the KZNCB Champion of Champions being hosted at the club. All the respective men and ladies club singles champions get together and only one male and one female will be crowned the overall champion of KZNCB. The club wishes Nan Roos and Des Johnson all the very best as they represent Dundee in this prestigious event. Good bowling to all participants and again, come down and support and learn more about this wonderful game of lawn bowls.
To all members, please don’t forget the AGM tonight at the clubhouse, starting at 6pm. Preparations for the 2017 Friedmann Tournament are well under way and the teams are nearly full. At the time of going to press we have two places in the men’s section left and one place left in the mixed section. Hurry hurry if you still want to get a side in. The list for the 48 Continuous Bowls Challenge (SA Record) is up on the board and it’s exciting to see quite a few names down already. All members must give at least give two hours and be a part of this event. E-mails have been sent to all members and if there are those that need information, contact Greg on 082 924 7788.
