DUNDEE KZN: Corporate Classic enjoys a great turnout

There was a good turnout at this year’s Corporate Golf Day, with 19 teams participating in this year’s event, played in cool conditions on Friday. The club thanks all those who entered teams in this annual event, as well as the sponsors and players.

Novelties prizes:  Nearest the pin: No. 4 L Bezuidenhout, No. 8 M Hume, No. 12 N du Plessis, No. 16 N Rose. Longest drive: men – P Booysen No 7, ladies – D Catlett No 10. It was Bertie Venter and his team that took home the Classic Winner’s Shield on a score of 50 nett.

Flotek was second on 52 nett, followed by the DHS team on 53, and BB Transport on 56, with Farmtrac in fourth, counted out from T Shirts for Africa, Buffalo Coalfields, Total Glencoe, Pop In and Mbube Security.

Dave’s Competition, played on Wednesday over 11 holes in the form of an IPS, was won by Shepard Nzenza on 29 points. Second was Blessing Chiwaya on 25 points. Saturday’s Club Competition, also played in the form of an IPS, was won by S Khumalo on a good 40 points. Two-clubs were carded by K Khumalo (No 4) and M Sithole (No 8). Well done to our juniors.

Monthly Mug: This Saturday (December 5), the club will host the last Monthly Mug of the year in the form of an Individual Medal.
