Pupil sets high-jump record
Philemseni Mvemve sets a new school record in the high jump event.
Monument primary school held their inter-house athletics meeting at the Ladysmith High School (LHS) sports-grounds yesterday.
One of the star participants was Philemseni Mvemve, a grade 7 pupil, who set a new high jump record when he cleared the bar at 1.60m.
The youngster attributed his success to hard work and preparation.
