Students get to learn more about India

The programme offers those lucky enough to be chosen a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with high-ranking dignitaries, which may include the president of India

The Know India Programme (KIP) is an initiative run by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, government of India, which is to be held from June 29 to July 19.

The programme will be conducted in partnership with Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharshrta, Goa or Madhya Pradesh, and Indian states.

KIP is a three-week programme aimed at affording youth of Indian origin from all over the world the opportunity to visit India to familiarise themselves with and learn more about Indian society, culture, economic and scientific progress.

The programme offers those lucky enough to be chosen a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with high-ranking dignitaries, which may include the president of India, chief election commissioner of India, comptroller and auditor-general of India, and ministers in-charge of overseas Indian affairs, youth affairs and sports.

Selected participants are provided full hospitality in India during the programme and 90% of the cost of the air ticket is reimbursed to the participants on successful completion of the programme.

There are only 40 spots available in the 33rd Know India Programme.
