Showville is an all new exciting reality talent show, aimed at sharing the often magical, real stories behind the talent. They believe that there is always, something extraordinary around every corner if we care to look for it. Showville would like to display your talent, which is often ingrained into our diverse cultures to entertain the nation.

So in order for you to get out your tap shoes, dust off those juggling balls and consider taking singing in the shower to centre stage you have to be 16 or above to audition. Only South Africans – or those with South African permanent residency can audition, the Showville cast request that you bring your ID along with you.

Acts can be from one person, and group performances may have a maximum of four members. Do not wear any branded clothing to auditions – or subsequent shoots, should you be selected as a finalist. Dates will be published as soon as it is confirmed. Audition slots are 90 seconds each. Auditions start at 2pm on the audition day, registration starts at 1.30pm. Auditions close at 5.30pm, registration for auditions close at 5pm.

All those who audition must be available to attend the finalist selection at 6pm on the same day. Four finalists will be chosen from the auditioned acts. Finalists must be available for the next two days to attend coaching sessions and other filming sessions.

Finalists must be able to allow the crew to visit them at their homes and, if they work, possibly at their places of work. If there are more than the expected people who show up for auditions, senior members of the production team will do screening auditions.

The results of all the auditions will be final and no debate will be entered into, since residents will vote for their favourite performer on the night of the finale.
